Delete it yourself, from the app

This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately — no email, no waiting on us.

  1. 1. Open Sahaaya and sign in.
  2. 2. Go to Account → Edit Profile.
  3. 3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
  4. 4. Type DELETE to confirm.

If you can't sign in

Email help@sahaaya.club from the address on your Sahaaya account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify it's really you and delete the account. Requests are handled within 30 days, normally much sooner.

What gets deleted

Removed straight away, permanently:

  • • Your name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number
  • • Your profile photo and bio
  • • Any ID proof / verification photos you submitted
  • • Your saved city, login sessions and notification history
  • • Your newsletter subscription, if you had one

What is kept, and why:

  • • Tasks, chats, ratings and reviews stay, with your name removed and shown as “Deleted User”. These are also the other person's record of work they did and the rating they earned — deleting them would erase someone else's history too.
  • • Chats attached to a finished task are deleted on the normal schedule (1 month after the task closes) — see the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account also cancels any task you had open and releases any task you were helping with, so nobody is left waiting on someone who is no longer there.
